The Last day was witness to a lot of shows starting from brands like Munkee See Munkee Doo, ILK , Sahil Aneja, Dhruv Vaish and the much awaited, the finale by Tarun Tahiliani and Amit Aggarwal.
The first show was a three designer show having Guapa, ILK and Munkee See Munkee Doo showcase their collections. Showcasing ‘Military Inspired Clothing’, ILK’s collection ‘ATTN: ‘ was all about showcasing power through bold yet feminine silhouettes. Usage of camouflage prints and motifs made direct relation to the theme.
Munkee see Munkee Doo on the other hand depicted the power of the modern woman by doing everyday fashion with bold attributes. Having a subtle colour palette including white, black, beige, rust and steel blue, the collection was aptly put together for the modern working woman who would want to mark her presence and stay comfortable, both at the same time.
Followed by this was the multi designer show presented by NEXA. This show had designers like Sahil Aneja, Dhruv Vaish ,etc showcase their collections.
For the much awaited finale, the two mega designers Tarun Tahiliani and Amit Aggarwal came together to make the finale even grand.
With an amazing experience of years, Tarun Tahiliani showcased some really amazing redy-to-wear pieces that showcased a lot draping. The embroidery in his garments had motifs inspired by the Mughal Era.
On the other hand, Amit Aggarwal’s collection was structural and sustainable. The main focus was on upcycled patola sari and Banarasi sari for the modern day bride by making the silhouettes look new age.
All in all, with about 100 garments showcased by the two ace designers, Amazon India Fashion Week closed on a ravishing note.
