A decade of Couture- India Couture Week- Day:2

India @70s by Manav Mangwani

This collection was a beautiful presentation of the heritage of India presented through the means of modern day silhouettes.

Elements from different parts of the country like Kashmir reflecting Jamawars, Bandhanis of Rajasthan, Kathakali from Kerala and Brocades of Varanasi was incorporated in the collection. With intricate motifs, each garment was inspired by the Mughal era. The use to miniature paintings in this collection projects the cultural diversity that India has to offer.

Obsessive use of gold clearly depicts the grandeur of our country along with the colour palette having colours like royal blue, crimson, ivory, orange and green.

Actress Disha Patani walked the ramp for the designer.
