Read on to know her inspiring story and to know more about her 🙂
GS: It is no doubt that you are one of the ace Fashion bloggers in our country. Please share a flashback about how did you know blogging is your calling?
AC : Blogging happened to be my accident, and my favorite one so far. I feel like I realized it was my true ‘calling’ because it enabled me to do so much in one go. For someone who loves dabbling between things, it was the perfect balance that I could have asked for.
GS: A lot of people are now a days looking at making blogging as their careers. What would you suggest the people who are just starting up?
AC: I would advise them to know and understand what their audience needs and wants, and stay true to their thoughts and opinions.
GS: How did you know you wanted to write about fashion and beauty? Do you have an educational background in fashion?
AC: I don’t have a professional background in either (unless fashion illustrations count?!) but coming from a family of retailers and being close to an aunt of mine who was a famous makeup artist in her time was all the inspiration I needed while I was growing up.
GS: As per what I have observed, apart from the experimental shoots, your style is kind off that of ‘ the girl next door’. Tell us more about that.
AC: I’ve always loved the idea of being the girl next door. I’ve always used ‘real girl info, real girl style’ in my descriptions and bios and I think that being ‘real’ and relatable is the best way to be for me.
GS: How would you define your personal style as in 3 words?
AC: Moody, moody and moody.
GS: How important a role does comfort play in each outfit that you put together?
AC: Comfort is ALWAYS priority. Not going to lie, I have of course worn outfits in my life that I wasn’t most comfortable in, but I always came home to the idea of wearing what fits my skin and personality the best.
GS: What do you think girls should keep in mind while dressing up themselves?
AC: (A) Utility – because where you’re going is important. (B) Personality – because who you are gets a first impression with the way you’ve styled yourself.
GS: What is your everyday make up regime like?
AC: It’s a little concealer, maybe a little foundation, highlighter, brows, mascara and a lipstick.
GS: One product you recently splurged on and have absolutely no regrets?
AC: The Huda and Fenty foundations! I did detailed reviews of them on my YouTube channel and loved the response I got on both the videos.
GS: How do you pick and choose which brand you work with amongst that many approach you daily?
AC: I always try new products before agreeing to endorse them, so I think that’s my basic process. If I’m at an event and trying something new, I’ll tell my audience the truth as it comes. I don’t believe in collaborating with brands and products I don’t believe in.
GS: How do you make sure you stay true to your audience about products you endorse?
AC: As I said, I always try new products before agreeing to endorse them, so I think that’s my basic process. If I’m at an event and trying something new, I’ll tell my audience the truth as it comes. I don’t believe in collaborating with brands and products I don’t believe in.
GS: A lot of people complain of not enjoying their ‘conventional 9-5 job’ yet are scared to take the risk and try different career options. What would be your advice to them?
AC: ‘Listen to your gut’ – my advise for 99% of life problems I’m asked for advice on haha !
